Facebook recently announced the expansion of its advertising tool Lookalike Audiences. The new capabilities will allow advertisers to target new users based on people who visit their websites, use their mobile apps, or are connected to their Facebook Pages. Until now, advertisers could only create “lookalikes” based on existing information like email addresses, phone numbers, and user IDs.
The new features are available to all advertisers around the world in Power Editor. Go to Audiences > Create New Audience > Lookalike Audience.
Facebook adds that the features are “designed to protect people’s privacy”. They give marketers access to groups of people without sharing which specific people are in those groups.
