Facebook is rolling out a more streamlined look for Pages, its platform for businesses.
The update will make it easier for Page visitors to find the information they want and help Page admins find the tools they use most.
Below are the key features of the update:
- Updated Page timeline design:
The right-side column of the timeline will now display all the Page’s posts. This one-column display means that all of the posts will appear consistently on your business Page and in News Feed. The left-side column of the timeline will feature information about your business, including a map, hours of business, phone number and website URL, as well as photos and videos.
- Easier access to key admin tools
You can now view information about the ads you’re running and new likes on your Page, as well unread notifications and messages.Facebook has also added new navigation options to the top of the Page, making it easier to access your activity, insights and settings. The Build Audience menu at the top of the Page offers direct access to your Ads Manager account. - Pages to Watch
Facebook is also launching their new “Pages to Watch” feature in the Page Insights too. “Pages to Watch” allows admins to create a list of similar or competitor pages to compare metrics such as engagement and Page likes.
Facebook will begin rolling out the new design this week, according to their blog. The changes will be for web only. Facebook announced a mobile redesign for Pages last April.
