Video marketing is one of the hottest marketing tools around. Bottom line – people love to watch videos and this is especially true of online surfers. That means if you want to enjoy the benefits of some great marketing you need to make sure that you are including video marketing as part of your marketing campaign.
You’ll need to make sure that what you’re presenting on your video message is relevant. Controversial subjects can be some of your best-watched videos, so don’t run from related topics that are gaining a lot of attention that’s controversial. Instead, tackle them head on. In addition, you should always make sure that your material is relevant to the current market trends.
Consider using testimonials. The voice of your peers has value and when they recommend a product or service, customers and potential customers are much more likely to listen and pay attention. This is also a great option if you’re camera shy and hate doing videos yourself.
You can also think about doing interviews with a professional or expert in your market. For example, let’s say you sell widgets. Having an expert talk about how to install your widgets via video can be very beneficial. You can also do a video regarding practial applications for your widgets, since this can generate sales—especially when presented by industry specialists.
Don’t be afraid to have your personality show in your videos. You know those monotone, dull videos…if viewers don’t nod off in the middle of them, they are often quick to hit the Back button and go elsewhere. You want viewers to stay from start to finish. To have that happen, your video needs to be interesting, vibrant and alive. Personality will accomplish that for you.
Video marketing is a great tool that is being used to its full capacity by only a small number of marketers. Now is a great time to get busy and stand out from your competition!
