Check out this brilliant presentation by Jesse Schell, the founder of Schell Games, the former creative director of the Disney Imagineering
Virtual Reality Studio, and a faculty member of the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University:
During this talk, Schell wowed the audience with his predictions about how technology will be integrated into our everyday decisions and behavior in the future–from what cereal we eat and how we eat it to whether we drive, take public transportation or walk. Fascinating material!
Whether you’re a game designer or not, this stuff is brilliant from a user experience perspective. What do you think about this? Would you welcome this kind of monitoring and involvement in your daily life or does it scream “Big Brother” to you? I for one, wholeheartedly welcome the concept–as long as I get to choose who I let into my personal life.
